    Mr. Knupp,
Thank you for hosting the Applefest run. The omelette breakfast was great and the t-shirts are great too! As someone who has done a few of these races, I would like to suggest some improvements to help the runners, the volounteers, and possibly the organizers. Any race where I’ve done a 10k has it start before the 5k. For the Applefest maybe the 10k could start at 9 and the 5 k at 9:30. This gives the longer distance runners time to get underway without having to wait for the short distance people. At the finish line, split the finish into 2 chutes so as to eliminate confusion between the slower 10k and the faster 5k people. In general, this would allow the volunteers on the course to stay out for a shorter time, would move the awards up sooner, get busy runners home sooner, and allow the clean-up crew to be done sooner.
Thank you for considering my suggestion.
