Nice tec long sleeve shirt. Good MC who kept the spirit alive. Organizers used the throw-away shoe chips and as a result had instant results at the end with a print out machine that gave you a running "receipt" with your time immediately after the race. State of the art!! Vocalist sang the Star Spangled Banner pre-race. She did a great job! For my money, all races should start this way. Those that do always start with five stars. After race party featured all home made cookies - an endless supply with an endless variety that just kept coming. Even the 650 runners couldnt eat them all! I tried. Well organized award presentation. After-after party at the Sports Bar was well attended and worth the trip there, although difficult to find.. The food was fine and the "yellow" pop was welcome and enjoyed . The 12:00 noon start time makes it easy for those long distance commuters. Organizers should include maps for out-of-towners for race and party . The race course was ok but the streets are so bad that you must run with some caution. I did see atleast one runner fall.
