Second time running the 10 mile side. Route is two miles downtown, then a mile climb and then through a nice neigborhood and then descent from the west back into the downtown. A well run race, food was OK. The race could use a D J or music. No program at the end. A good run with little luster. Course was very well marked and every corner had police and or volunteers. Very nice Brooks long sleeve tech-t.

I’ve run the 5k race a few times, and this year I ran the 10-mile race. The 5k race is flat and fast, and runs through the East Village, Western Gateway, and downtown. If you’re looking to PR, the 5k race is ideal. The 10-mile race is relatively flat; Keo Way is a long, steady climb (after the two-mile marker, I believe), and the last few miles of the race are downhill/flat. There were plenty of water stops and volunteer support, and the route was well-marked. The long-sleeve tech tee is a major bonus. The post-race festivities are low-key with plenty of food, water, and Gatorade. Overall, Capital Pursuit is a solid race and is always something I look forward to running in the fall.
