The Muddy Monster cross country run is more than just your ordinary road race! It is a journey that allows the common athlete to achieve personal goals, enjoy what nature has to offer, take a step back in history, and participate in Halloween fun.

Muddy Monster offers a 15K run (9.3 miles), 5K run/walk (3.1 miles), Monster Mile (17 & under), and a Lil’ Monster fun run. The loop course, which takes place almost entirely on grass and trails, starts and finishes in scenic Seminole Valley Park and runs through Ushers Ferry Historic Village. Participants are also encouraged to have some fun and race in their favorite Halloween costume! Every participant in costume will be eligible for costume awards.

Bleed Purple, Win Gold 5K

Distance: 5K Race, 1 Mile Walk

Description: The Oelwein Wrestling Club is hosting their annual 5K Run/1M Walk Fundraiser. It is open to everyone of all ages. You can run, walk or get a ride in a stroller. Cost is $15 early registration (4-13), $20 late and day of(4/14-5/5). Packet pickup or Day of Registration is 7AM to 8AM. The fee includes refreshments, water stop along race course, awards to winners of each running category and a t-shirt for early registrants.

Race for GRACE

Description: Race for GRACE is a 10K and 2-Mile Family Fun Run with proceeds to benefit the GRACE Foundation (Grand Island Area Cancer Endowment). Proceeds will help local cancer patients and their families in their fight with this deadly disease. 10K course is being adjusted from last year to be of standard 10K length.

Where: Race starts at the Davenport Family YMCA, 606 West 2nd Street Downtown, Davenport Iowa

Distance: 5 Mile or 1 Mile

Description: T-Shirts are guaranteed to the first 1500 participants. For late registrations, event shirts will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The 5-mile USATF-certified course is on city streets with one major hill. Splits are located at each mile mark. Two water stations are situated on the course. Course marshaling and safety protection will be available during the 5-mile run until 10:30am. The start and finish line is located at the Davenport Family YMCA. (at second street and between Gaines & Western).
