Havelock Charity Run

Distance: 3K or 10K

Description: One of Lincoln’s favorite races, the Havelock Charity Run is distinguished by team competition and the Pinnacle Bank Challenge. Whether you run as an individual or help form a team, we hope that you will join us for one of Lincoln’s largest running events. After the race, you, your family and friends will be able to enjoy the awards ceremony in Havelock Park.

3K3 Walk. Run. Wag

Where: Hansen Fieldhouse Parking Lot, Waldorf College, Forest City, IA

Description: Three loops, each 3K in length, will be marked for walkers and runners for a total of 9K (5.58 miles). Individuals may choose to do one, two, or all three loops. The wag portion of the event is to welcome participants to bring their pets.

In its 5th year, the 3K3 Walk-Run-Wag event is brought to you by Kristi Carlson, Kristi Leonard and Kristi Osheim – the 3K’s of Waldorf College! We have mapped out a 3K route then multiplied it by 3 (3K3). You may choose to run (or walk) just the 3K or add the second and/or third loop for a total of up to 9K. Walk, run or bring your pet(s) along to wag.

This is the 5th year for the event and we very humbly announce that this run will be dedicated to the memory of Charlotte Fredrickson, former longtime Waldorf employee and Forest City resident, who recently died of cancer.

The cost is affordable – just $10 for students and $15 for adults. With that registration you get a cool, commemorative, tangerine t-shirt and all monies go directly to support the local American Cancer Society and Winnebago County Relay for Life.

The brochure is attached or you may stop by the Waldorf Athletics department on 2nd floor of Hanson Fieldhouse and pick one up. Spread the word – tell your friends and family – and join us on April 18th, for this very worthy cause. We appreciate your support in our fight against cancer.

St. Louis 5K Memorial Run

Where: Upper Muny Parking Lot – Forest Park, Macklind & Union, St. Louis, MO

Distance: 5K Run/Walk, 3K Mature Mile, Kids FUN RUN

Description: The 5K Memorial Run is a non-profit organization created for the sole purpose of honoring police officers, firefighters and paramedics who lost their lives in the line of duty. This fundraising event will raise money for The Fallen Hero Fund, which will provide a significant donation to The Backstoppers, Inc. These funds provide support and financial assistance to the families of our fallen heroes in their time of need.

Join us in Forest Park. 5K Run/Walk and the Mature Mile will begin at 9:30am followed by the Kids FUN RUN. Be sure to hang around for the Fireman vs. Officer Races at 11:00am. Prizes, Awards, Raffles, Bouncehouses and face painting are just a few of thee fun activities you and your family can enjoy.
