Where: Living History Farms, Interstate 80 & Hickman Road, Urbandale, Iowa

Be a part of the “Largest Cross-Country Race in North America”.
You will be challenged by the world’s richest farm land as you wade through creeks, avoid farm animals and claw your way to the top of gullies with over 7,500 (limit) other runners of questionable senses. It’s a great way to end the racing season and experience running stories to relive throughout the winter.
Stay for the “outdoors in November” post race refreshments, door prizes and awards ceremony.

State Center’s Rose Festival

Description: The 7 Mile Run starts in Colo, Iowa and finishes in State Center, Iowa. With a 6:30am start runners will travel the Historic Lincoln Highway. A 5k is also offered in State Center with a 7:30am start. Bus transportation will be provide to Colo before the race for runners.

Cedar Rapids Run the Flood

Where: 3rd Ave SE and the railroad tracks (between 3rd & 5th St SE) Downtown Cedar Rapids, IA

Distance: 7 Miles and 5K

Description: Though it’s been almost three years since the worst natural disaster in state history hit eastern Iowa, the need to rebuild the downtown community in Cedar Rapids still remains, and will remain for years to come. To insure flood victims are not forgotten and continue to recieve the support they need, Run the Flood is holding its third annual event.

Thanks to the overwhelming generousity of participants, volunteers and sponsors, Run the Flood has raised nearly $75,000 for flood revovery to date. Our goal this year is to hit the $100,000 mark, so break out those running shoes, grab a friend and register today!

Summerfest Charity Run – La Harpe

Where: LaHarpe Christian Church, 200 East Main Street, LaHarpe, IL 61420

Distance: 7 mile walk; 2 mile run; 2 mile walk

Description: Challenge yourself to a 7 mile run or a 2 mile walk/run. We will start at LaHarpe Christian Church, take a scenic cruise around the reservoir and find some hills to raise your heart rate before finishing at the church for a pancake and sausage breakfast sponsored by the Carpenter’s Crew. The proceeds of the 2010 Summerfest Run/Walk will be donated to Adam and Sara Wright who are working in Namibia to supply clean water systems.

Register before August 1 to guarantee a t-shirt on race day. Medals will be awarded to the top two male and female finishers of each race. Awards ceremony will begin at 9 a.m., with door prizes following the ceremony.
