Muscatine Turkey Trot

Where: Muscatine Municipal Golf Course (Highway 38), Muscatine, Iowa

Description: Predict your running/ walking time. No watches or timing devices may be used by participants. Runners/ Walkers will compete against each other for the closest predicted time (+ or -). No splits will be given. Heated Club House open before, during and after the race. Awards ceremony held indoors.

Awards: The winner of each age division for male and female participants who most closely predict their time will be awarded a frozen turkey!

Distances:

1 mile run for 14 years and younger
3 mile run for 15 years and older

Predictor Mile – Brookings

Where: High School Track in Brookings, SD

Distance: 1 Mile and Kid’s Predictor 400 Meter and 800 Meter

Description: Predictor Mile is based on similar runs conducted in the 70s and 80s, the Predictor Mile was “restarted” in 2004. This free running event is open to every age and fitness level. Fast, slow or in between, the prize goes to the person who best predicts his or her time for a one mile “run” on the track. No watches allowed.

CVRA Mall to Mall

Course: An 8.8 mile route from Westdale Mall to Lindale Mall (or Lindale to Westdale, rotating every year. Route will include the Cedar Rapids Kernels ballpark and Cedar Memorial Cemetery. Go to www.usatf.org/routes/view.asp?rID=266563

for exact route. The route will be open to traffic so use sidewalks where appropriate.
No timing devices including IPODS are allowed.

Walkers and runners will start at 8:00.
Official timing and course closes at 10:30am

Awards: Fill in your time prediction below. The closest to their predicted time receives a ONE YEAR ADULT MEMBERSHIP TO THE YMCA.

Prediction Race – Cedar Falls

When: August 18th at 6:15pm
Where: The Runner’s Flat in Cedar Falls, Iowa

Join The Runner’s Flat and Trekman Racing for the 2nd Annual Prediction Race.
Those who have a finish time closest to the predicted time are the winners. No help is allowed, including watches, iPods, and spectators.

Up for grabs are gift certificates to the Runner’s Flat and Trekman Racing along with other cool surprises. Doesn’t matter if you are Young or old, male or female, even the slowest runner can win!
