This was a great race and very well organized. I liked the flat 5k course and hope to run the 7 mile next year! The race had good food at the end of the race as well.
Awesome race. flat and very fast. Had a PR for seven miles. Would have liked to see gaterade as an option to only water. Unfortunately the line to the portapotties was very long and none had TP. Bummer
Good race…nice to see the longer distance runs….great to have chip timing, BUT, why go to the expense of chip timing if there are no awards! Usually there are male/female overall, & age groups-male/female 1st, 2nd, & 3rd. I think you would get more people to attend, if there were awards…and take advantage of the chip timing!
Good first time event! I’m not sure if the plans are to make this an annual event but I thought it was well done for the first time. There were lots of volunteers and police officers out on the route and that helped. It was a good event to help remember what CR went through exactly a year ago. So many areas still need so much recovery; however, it was also an opportunity to see how much has been done so far. It is great that all proceeds stay in the local area for flood recovery efforts. Hopefully this will be put on again next year. The weather was cool but perfect for a run…at least the downpour stopped before the run.
