Wow was that ever hard. When I signed up for this 4.3 mile race I knew it was a trail run and that I’d get dirty and there would be some obstacles, but Wow it ended up being massively hard. I heard someone say at the beginning of the race something about the start line being moved for some reason and we would be doing more than 4.3 miles. Ended up we did 4.89 or so the results said and it sure felt like that or more. It was awesome in a muddy way. I did like the challenge and I would do it again, however if this course is to be as challenging next year as it was today, please mention all those obstacles in the description of the race so everyone knows what they are up for. I had a hard time pulling myself up the rope on that steep ledge at the creek. Thank goodness the man behind me pushed me a little from the back and a girl that just climbed it turned around and reached for my hands and pulled me up. I liked the home baked chocolate chip cookies and wished there had been more of that kind of stuff. Maybe have a pizza place or a sub place sponsor the race so we can have some of their items after the race, that would be GREAT! Your medals for the top 3 in the age group looked amazing and I secretly wished I was getting one. Loved how this was chip timed so you have accurate results. Thanks for having door prizes (even though I wasn’t lucky enough to win one) you had some great stuff to give away. I had the opportunity to visit the chiropractor for a short massage-adjustment after the race and that was nice. Thanks for having them there. I think the shirts should say this next year: CVRA MUDDY TIMBER TREK OR CVRA MUDDY TIMBER OBSTACLE TREK OR something along those lines and the logo on the front of the shirt should be twice as big as it is.
Thanks for an organized, well run race that was different and a challenge for me to complete.
