My friend and I had a blast on this super tough course. Who knew there were hills like that in Iowa? We liked this low key event and it gave us a great hill workout and tested our stamina. We decided we will definitely go back for an all day run in the future. It was well worth the hour drive for the variety of trails. The homemade chocolate chip cookies at the finish were exceptionally good! Only improvement I could see would be better markings at the split of the 3 and 5 mile courses. I think signs staked into the ground with arrows would be great. I saw a couple people that were on the wrong course. I did have one good fall but I wasn’t the only one, but that’s par for the course in the world of trail racing!

I have done it both previous years and loved it! It is a tough course as you are going up and down and twisting and turning but that makes it fun and interesting. You definitely have to watch for small tree roots. Mostly in the woods but break out into a couple clearings too. Great place that I had never been to before. Nice to have the option of 2 distances. Small, friendly race.

This was a great cross country route and dog friendly! The course was hard, but a good race to get outside. The race organization was to go green and I thought they did an excellent job of it.

I am very interested in this trail run.
Could some additional info be sent my way?

    Thanks,
