Where: Raccoon River Park, West Des Moines, IA
1.5K Swim Course
The 1,500 meter swim is planned for Blue Heron Lake in Raccoon River Park located in West Des Moines. This will be a clockwise, one lap swim.

40K Bike Course
The 40K bike course starts at transition in Raccoon River Park. Athletes will leave transition and exit the park by making a lefthand turn onto Grand Avenue and take Grand Avenue to Booneville Road. Athletes will follow Booneville road for approximately 10 miles, then make a U-turn just past R Avenue, before returning to transition using both Boonveville Road and Grand Avenue (this course is a simple out-and-back bike course for the 2009 Age Group event).

10K Run Course
Runners will exit the transition area at Racoon River Park turning right onto Grand Avenue. Runners will follow Grand Avenue to Fuller Road, where they will make a lefthand turn, running on Fuller to 35th Street. Athletes will turn right onto 35th Street and follow 35th Street to George Mill Civic Parkway, where they will make a lefthand turn. Athletes will run on George Will Civic Parkway and make a u-turn just before reaching Fuller Road, returning to the finish line by the same route.
