Description: The Tulip Time Klompen Classic consists of a 5K road race and a 5K walk through the streets of Pella. A short kids fun run is also included. The event occurs annually on the Wednesday evening before the beginning of the Tulip Festival in Pella.
The Klompen Classic is the primary fundraiser for Crossroads of Pella. Crossroads is a local non-profit agency that provides many types of assistance to those in need, but free counseling is the trademark.

This is a well run race taking you through downtown Pella and a delight to run considering that the tulips are all in blume. The attendence on Wednesday was 1600 runners/walkers. Hard to believe you could get that many people to a race at 7:00 P.M. on a Wednesday evening but it happens every year.! A fun race with great local support. It was worth the 350 mile drive to do it. Hope to be there next year.
