This is a very well run race. The course is notoriously difficult but there was plenty of traffic control and volunteers pointing the way. The ice bags during the run were a life saver and the plunge bath at the finish line was perfect. Thanks for a great race.

A very challenging course, especially if it is hot (which it always is). The volunteers were VERY helpful, and everything was VERY well organized. Although a challenging course, this is a great race!

The LGC is really really really well run and the volunteers are happy and helpful. Anyone who does it leaves impressed at the organization. The run aid stations are often and well stocked. This year was ridiculously hot so they had icy sponges. Ahhhh that helped! The announcer is fun too. Plenty of food at the end.

As I noted, it’s a HOT race almost every year. No wet suits. Both the bike and run have hills that make them tough. But that’s why it’s the Lake Geode CHALLENGE!
