Description: This non-timed FREE, yes, FREE fun 5K run is held on the Rockwell Collins C Avenue campus and the Noelridge Park trail. Runners, walkers and dogs welcome! Door prize drawings will be held after the event–must be present to win. IF you want to purchase a tshirt, you may order one before Dec. 15 with the registration form. History will repeat itself and they will be tye-die short sleeve shirts again. Go ahead, commit and register today!

This was my first time running this race and my first 5K! I don’t have any notions what makes a good running race but I thought this was great! Free entry, prizes afterwards and low key racing sounded perfect to me! Weather was chilly and pouring rain. There was a decent turnout of racers of all ages and abilities. The course was run on the Rockwell parking lots, 2 laps of a figure 8 type loop. You were given the option to run on the inside track if you didn’t want to run in the rain, or you could do just 1 lap too. The volunteers were plentiful over the course and were so friendly and motivational! Since it was raining there were plenty of puddles to avoid, or in my case…to jump in and try to splash my husband. I had a great time at this race and can’t wait for it next year! The director stressed having fun and I sure did and seemed like everyone else did too.
