Fantastic race! For anyone who is worried about running 7 miles...don't worry, it doesn't feel like 7 miles at all! Between the corn fields, mud, wooded trails, water crossings, super long hill near the end, and the crazy costumes it's easy to forget the actual mileage.

Make sure to wear old clothes because you WILL get dirty! I highly recommend wearing something to protect your legs (tights, legging, etc.) and cheap gloves to protect your hands as you try to climb up the slippery, muddy banks!

The post-race food is incredible!

Nothing but pure fun. Seven miles through the woods and 8 creek crossings. I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't done it. I think the entry Limit is the only thing that stops this from being something that could explode into a 10,000 or more entry level race. It one you gotta do before you hang up the running shoes. And the post ra e meal is excellent. Nothing like a hot bowl of stew to help you warm up after the race.

I wish I could make this year's race and have loved running it in the past. Don't expect a good time but do expect to get wet and dirty. There is also great food after so bring an extra set of clothes to change into, especially if it is cold out. Most runners wear costumes or something they normally wouldn't wear. Oh, and try climbing the hay bales.
