Distance: 5K and 10K
Description: A fun, not-too-crowded race on a beautiful trail surrounded by nature. The races have a combined start with the 5K runners making a right turn onto the scenic portion of the trail and the 10K runners turning left. The race is out-and-back, with water stops on the 10K course only. Carpooling is encouraged as parking is somewhat limited in this rural setting.

This is a growing race that offers both a 5K and 10k on different courses so you dont run together. Flat -like NO hills- at all, with a fine limestone surface. Easy on the feet and joints and fast. Cost – a bargain at $20 with a tech-shirt. Great support from Iowa DNR. good post party and well organized race. Suggested improvement would be the National Anthem. Age brackets now include 70 + with 10 year spaces.. Next improvement will be one for 80+! Hey guys, this sport is growing. Overall this run is a must do.
