One Review of “Quad Cities Triathlon”

This is a great triathlon for athletes of all levels (experience triathloners to newbies.) The swim is a triangle shape that has a lot of support in non-motorized paddle boats and kayaks. The bike course is closed to traffic which is a welcome relief compared to other triathlons. This gives you a chance to go out and push yourself and ride your race. There are a few hills on the bike course. The running course has changed over the years. There is shade initially and then you run on the main road outside the park with little shade so it can get hot. Again the running routes is closed to traffic.

The race director is great in that no awards or prizes are given out until the last person crosses the finish line. The swag is great. In addition to a tech shirt (at no additional costs) I have also gotten in past years a dri fit hat, a very large beach towel and when you cross the finish line you receive a small finishers towel. The race is also using race number tattoos instead of markers on the athletes. A lot of nice touches.
