One Review of “Run for the Schools”

I have to give kudos to this race and the race director. I am not the fastest runner. In 2011 I ran the 1/2 marathon route. The race course had great support. Water was roughly at every mile. The route went mostly through great neighborhoods. There were some hills but nothing too bad. People put out radios and a sprinkler which was nice.

What got me though is how even though I was the very last runner, no one rushed me to end the race. The finish line and all water stops on my return trek were fully staffed. When I crossed the finish line I was cheered just like all the other runners, even though the previous runner had finished 15 minutes before me. Carlson College was still giving massages and again they did a great job too. I think the gal spent almost 20 minutes working on me.

As a back of the pack runner, I have finished last in other races only to be deflated when I see the organization tearing down the finish line before I cross. Not at this race.
