Distance: 4 Mile Run/ Walk and Kid’s Run
Description: This is a wonderful 4 mile run/walk fun for the entire family. Flat course, on a trail leading to BlackHawk Park. Participants run/walk two miles into BlackHawk Park and then turn around and go back the same way. We also have a kids’ run starting at 10:30 with varying distances depending on age- 2-4, 5-7, and 8-10 year olds.
Great post-race party. We have Bagels and cream cheese from Panera, lots of fruit and treats from Hostess such as Twinkies, Ring Dings, etc. We also have great prizes such as gift certificates from local businesses. We give an award for the fastest mother and for the fastest male and female pushing a baby jogger. We also have a Kids’ run starting at 10:30.
Go to support women and girls in the state of Iowa. All money goes to the Iowa Women’s Foundation, an organization that promotes long-term positive change for girls and women in Iowa.

I really enjoyed this course. The people were very nice and course was well maked.
A fun race with a relaxed atmosphere. Lots of moms and dads racing with strollers, but there was plenty of room for all to run or walk. Cute races to involve the kids afterward. TONS of food and drinks after the race!!!
