I love doing these runs and the racecourse was fun1 It was cold, but there was lots of stuff to warm you up. I do have to say that at 20 plus a race it does seem to be somewhat costly. Thanks for all your hard work

Great overall! It was enjoyable to simply run a “fun run,” with no concern about personal bests, competitiveness, etc.

The only downside for me was that a few of the drawings for prizes at the end should have been made available to all participants. I personally was not aware that all door prizes would be contingent upon my donating money.

Fabulous event. Moving this to downtown this year, instead of at the state park, meant access to businesses afterwards to shop and get warm.

Trekman has plenty of heaters and tents (that his elves put up in the chilly weather) and the shelter was great. Costumes galore and santa and elf handing out presents was great.

Hot cocoa and goodies afterwards were nice to warm up the body.

Fabulous t-shirts, as always, from Trekman Racing. great door prizes donated from area businesses .

Great race…the hats, costumes, great cause for the salvation Army, and nice tents/food! Thanks to Trekman, Runners Flat, all the volunteers and sponsors. The big tent worked well. While I prefer to have age group awards, I guess an occasional “fun” run doesn’t hurt, especially in December! Thanks again to all. I also liked the route…appreciated the down hill or flats after the uphills.

Iam not one who will choose to spend time outdoors when it is in the low teens or anywhere near that…But doing it for this run was worth it! The run was very well organized, a ton of fun and I look forward to doing it again next year. Thanks Dave!

Really enjoyed this race! I really appreciated that any hills we met were immediately met with a flat or downhill stretch. Very great. The organization of the whole thing, from my very late registration (20 minutes before start), to the race (very well marked with volunteers/police), and the post-race goodies and tents was absolutely the best of races I’ve been a part of.

Also really loved running through the historic streets of the town that I usually only view from my car windows.

    Thank you!

Excellent race! Well organized, well priced and well attended. The run included some challenging hills and views of beautiful Cedar Falls neighborhoods. The tents and the food setup after the race were a welcome respite from the single digit temperatures. Having the chance to hang out at Cup of Joe before and after the race was a bonus.

I would definitely do this race again. Well done Trekman!!!

Loved the snow shuffle the previous 5 years. Wasn’t sure about the location change but it turned out great. Saw friends who had never done something like this before. Downtown CF is sooo cool. Came early and had coffee at Cup of Joes. Tents were great and we had way to many clothes on. It’s the best part of the christmas activities. I just realized now there was no bonfire…guess I didn’t miss it like I thought I would. Whats the date for next year? Have to plan my family christmas get together around it!

Was a great day for a snow shuffle. We came down to balmy Cedar Falls and got to escape from the snow in Northern Iowa. It was a great crowd with super friendly volunteers helping out. Hope to do it again next year!!

It’s one big holiday party! Super well organized, lots of opportunities to meet friends and make new friends, plenty of post race food and beverages, and a rare opportunity to run through the streets dressed like an elf! It’s non competitive, so enjoy the fun and the great cause.

Make sure you stick around for the door prizes. Some of these door prizes are better than presents I’ve received from relatives!

I ran this race twice in the past three years and travel from Cedar Rapids to run it because it’s a great race. This race is very well organized. This year they did not time the race and made it a fun run since there was so much ice on the ground. Just remember to bring your traction devices along. Many people dressed up in costumes, there was hot chocolate and treats at the end, and they had a raffle with a lot of awesome prizes. One of them was a free 1 hour massage!
