This was a great race on a challenging course through Muscatine. It was my first 5k upon returning to running after having my daughter and I enjoyed it. Lots of crowd support, police support, many volunteers to hand out water. Course had some slow inclines (who knew that Mulberry was a hill?? I didn’t realize it til this day), some great declines, and one major incline that really taxed your mental strength. Overall, great race and plan to participate again in 2011. OH! and top finishers got a watermelon as a price! Very original.
